Demand for contactless payments is growing exponentially across Europe, fast becoming a norm for consumers and retailers alike. For retailers looking to make contactless payments even easier, Tidypay and MineSec has announced their partnership to bring a new solution which will allow retailers to accept contactless card payments on a mobile phone or tablet, without the traditional payment terminals.

Tidypay's SoftPOS offering will be a perfect match to independent software vendors' (ISV) needs to accept payments beyond the traditional over-the-counter situations like waitstaff at outdoor service areas, craftsmen, and self-service kiosks. This will be offered to Tidypay's ISVs as an expansion to their current payment gateway offering.

"We selected MineSec as our SDK supplier as it fits our platform and gateway well," says Inge Rune Tetlie, CBD and Founder of Tidypay. "It also gives us a competitive edge with shorter time to market, as opposed to developing everything ourselves."

"Payments will be fully digital in future, and it is important that we accelerate the access to secure digital payments for everyone," says Angus Chiu, Chief Commercial Officer of MineSec. "Tidypay's first SoftPOS offering is another exciting step towards that future and we are delighted to be supporting them in their innovative development, as well as in the security evaluation and certification process."

Tidypay's new software is built on MineSec's SoftPOS software development kit (SDK) solution - a true white label SoftPOS solution. Comprising the client SDK, the attestation and monitoring server, the solution is PCI-ready and meets the functional requirements set by card networks. The solution's flexibility and simplicity of integration enables payment terminal providers and service providers to design and develop a PCI CPoC compliant SoftPOS under their brand.
